1. InterestAlert headlines and summaries on Election Sites
InterestAlert is working on a number of election sites. In the
last 2 weeks we have hooked up over 20 political sites including
California GOP at http://www.cagop.org/ and Georgia GOP at
http://www.gagop.org/
We have had a request to list good sites in this newsletter so
InterestAlert affiliates can get an idea of how best to use
InterestAlert.
GOOD HINT: The Georgia GOP site is using Style9 ...this provides
one summary and 3 headlines and drives many paid click throughs.
Another good looking site is ISP http://www.lvonline.net/

2. Building a stock Index or Stock News block
To set up a stock index, make a new page at Developer Center,
then edit it.
Click the "Edit Content" button
At the right side of the page, you will see 10 input text boxes.
Insert your stock symbols there
Click the "Stock News" radio button above the input boxes
Click the "Save" button at the top left.
Go back to the Developer Center (link at top right)
When you get back to the Developer Center, you will see the
two text boxes for Javascript and Link code.
I assume you'll use the Javascript.
The code you see in the top text box is for the news for the
stocks you just chose.
Click on the image text at the right that says
"This is the code for Stock News. Click again to get code for
Stock Quotes"
The textbox now displays the code you need to get stock quotes.
(The change is only in the program name that is called, so it may
not look like it changed, but it has.)
Now you can copy that code and paste it into your page.

3. New Topic Filters
We have added several new country topic filters to the developer
center per requests. If there is something you want, let us know
and we will tune it and put it up. Cost to have us develop and
maintain a requested filter is $59 to set it up and $25 a year to
maintain it if it is dynamic or changing. Send requests to
sitenews@interestalert.com
and we will call you to discuss.
We will be adding several premium content packages in October.
You can hook them up the same way as free news, prices will range
from $50-150 a year. There is no requirement to take them...we
just continue to add quality content.
We have a promotion coming up in October. We will pay .50 for
referrals for sites, with their own paid domain names, who register.
You don't need to do anything....we will track referrals from the
link at the bottom of your news block that says InterestAlert News.
If you WANT to promote the offering.....Be watching Email for
special referral banners and text links we will send you that you
can put on your site to create more interest. Almost everyone is
hooked up, but if you don't have news blocks on your pages yet,
hurry and get them up so that you can take advantage of the Oct
promotion.
