How to Meet People with the Same Spiritual Beliefs

What is the key to a good relationship? A lot of people will tell you the answer lies in building friendships with those who share your spiritual beliefs; but sometimes that's easier said than done.

If you've been unable to hook up with the right group of people - or that special someone - through your church or related events, you may want to try a different approach. According to U.S. News & World Report, half the number of single adults in the U.S. are finding success through niche Web sites.

One you may want to check out is www.bigchurch.com. The site, founded in 1996 by Andrew Conru, is now nearly a half million members strong thanks to stories like this one:

"I had pretty much come to the conclusion that I was going to be alone for the rest of my life. On April 15th 2004, though, I was internet surfing and BigChurch popped up. I went through the profiles of women looking for men and came across Pam's profile. I winked at her, she winked back and we started to email each other... On Labor Day weekend Pam was going to be in the area for a visit with her family. We decided to meet for the first time at a park... When I saw Pam drive up, I started to walk towards her with a single red rose in my hand. She got out of the car and started towards me and I knew at that moment that I was in love and that this was the lady I was going to marry... Obviously we're very happy. Thank you, BigChurch for allowing us to find each other."

Want to try the service out for yourself?  All you have to do to get started is sign up for a free standard membership at www.bigchurch.com.  Members at this level can participate in chatrooms and blogs, and search for people with similar interests in a particular city, state or country; but you'll be limited in your ability to initiate contact, read full profiles, or view full-size pictures.  Upgrade to a silver or gold membership, and you'll have complete access to the site and all members.

"Our site has helped bring so many people together, not just romantically, but with friendships that last," says Business Development Manager, Fred Warner.
